The sin we inherited from Adam and Eve is washed away in Baptism. The grace of God then fills the baby’s soul, making him or her compatible with eternal life with Jesus in heaven. If we are baptized as an adult, then we are cleansed not only from original sin but also from all personal sins we have committed up to that point! If we sin after Baptism, we go to Confession.
