God ordained that his Son should not only die for our sins but should also “taste death”.

This means that Jesus experienced….

THE ANSWER IS….. A….Jesus’s soul was separated from his body for three days, just as our souls will be separated from our bodies from the moment we die until the last day of Earth.

But unlike our bodies, the body of Jesus remained incorruptible and did not decay at all. The Bible says the dead Christ’s body “saw no corruption.” (Acts 13:37, Catechism 630)
