28. THE QUESTION WAS:

Truth or Myth: Sunday is not included in Lent.

a. Truth

b. Myth

THE ANSWER WAS…..A….TRUTH!

Sundays are NOT part of the 40 days of Lent. Lent runs from Ash Wednesday until the Mass of the Lord’s Supper (the evening of Holy Thursday) but skips Sundays. So, after fasting all week, feel free to celebrate the Lord’s resurrection each Sunday before Easter.

MINIMUM FASTING OBLIGATIONS (but obviously, true Christians would want to do more for Christ): Catholics who are 14 or older must abstain from eating meat on Ash Wednesday and all Fridays of Lent. Catholics who are 18 or older, up to and including their 59th birthday, must limit themselves to a single full meal on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday, while the other two meals on those days are to be light. No snacking between meals.
